There's no mincing words - this opening portion of Death Match 22 was not really a battle. Just a one-sided bludgeoning by l'Ami. At least the interviews were interesting! Actually Smeets almost had a win following the brilliant Bg8+, but both commentators were shocked that White had nothing against Qg7. If it weren't for bad luck, Smeets would have no luck at all.
