Fischer-Spassky '72 got me interested in chess.  I've done about a half dozen different and totally unrelated things for a living; the most interesting was working on oil rigs in the Middle East.  Texas had a low rig count in those days.  Nowadays, trade stocks and currencies during the day; teach a little Physics and General Chemistry on the side.
