I'm basically a coffeehouse player up in Humboldt County (far northern CA) who plays in OTB tournaments roughly once a year or so - I'd like to at some point try and reach other players in my area in order to organize some local chess events. I currently work at Humboldt State University as a accompanist/pianist, and I enjoy computer programming, biking, tennis, ping-pong, reading, writing, and most Woody Allen movies. My handle comes from the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", by Douglas Adams.
