(Castellano) Aprendí a jugar ajedrez cuando era chico pero nunca tuve la oportunidad de practicar el juego como se debe, reglas y estrategias; jugaba sólo por diversión. Ahora sigo disfrutando del juego pero tratando de hacerlo más apropiadamente, aprendiendo cada día y practicando más estrategias. Soy un jugador promedio que está apasionado por el juego tanto como lo estás tú.
P.D.
1. No me gusta usar el 'Games Explorer' o libros y bases de datos mientras juego una partida. Uso sólo mi experiencia previa o el tablero de análisis que tiene cada juego o uno que armo yo en mi propia casa para jugar.
2. No me gusta hacer trampa o demorarme en un juego que está perdido. Gane o pierda me gusta jugar limpiamente así que siempre espero que mis adversarios se comporten igual.
3. Trato de usar al máximo 'Computer Analysis' de algunos juegos pasados que tuve con el fin de aprender más. Recientemente he mejorado mi cuenta para tener más acceso a esta increíble herramienta. La recomiendo a todo aquel que sienta la necesidad de aprender de sus propios errores o de los de sus oponentes. Claro, también recomiendo 'Chess Mentor', que repasa tus conocimientos acerca de ajedrez. Los recomiento a ambos.
4. No me gusta jugar quichimil partidas al mismo tiempo ni jugar contra alguien que hace eso. No es que me guste ser individualizado pero es que tengo la impresión de que jugando así se reduce la calidad del juego y muchas cosas pasan por azar.
5. Me gusta hablar mucho, siempre y cuando mi contrincante también lo haga. Si estás planeando charlar constantemente es muy posible que yo haga lo mismo. Jugar callados también funciona conmigo.
6. En el supuesto caso de verme 'en línea' todo el tiempo quizás no esté jugando en realidad, así que sean pacientes por favor. Permanezco en línea pero siempre haciendo algo más, muchas veces estudiando ajedrez, otras administrando mi grupo y otras sólo haciendo algo más aparte de chess.com.
(English) I learnt the basics of chess when I was a child but never really had the chance to properly study the game; I always played it for simple fun. Now I'm still enjoying it, but this time trying harder to learn it well. I am just an average player with great passion for the game, same as you.
P.S.
1. I don't like using 'Games Explorer' or consult books and chess databases during a game. I only use my previous experience or the 'analysis board' embedded with each game or an old-fashioned style I set up to play.
2. I don't like cheating or lingering in a lost game. Whether I lose or win I like to play fair, so I expect my opponents to do the same.
3. I try to extensively use 'Computer Analysis' of my selected past games in order to study chess. I've recently upgraded my status to have even more access to this incredible tool. I recommend it to anyone who feels the need to learn more about your own mistakes and those of your opponent. Of course I also recommend Chess Mentor, which can teach you the elements of chess. I don't stop using it now.
4. I don't like to play zillions of games nor to play against someone who's doing so. Not that I like to be singled out by anyone but I have the feeling that playing like that reduces the quality of the game and leaves more to chance.
5. I like chatting, as long as my opponent likes to do so. If you are planning to chat constantly it is possible I will do the same. Playing without chatting suits me also well.
6. In case you see me 'on line' most of the times I won't be really playing, so be patient, please. I remain connected but doing other stuff around also, many times studying chess, other administrating my group and other just doing something else apart from chess.com.
