Bio
Irina Bulmaga is a Romanian international master and 2018 national champion. She was also a member of the bronze-medal winning team in the 2014 Chess Olympiads. Note that Bulmaga was born in Moldova, however, and won several national junior championships there. In 2007 and 2008, she took back-to-back Moldovan Women Chess Championships. Bulmaga started representing Romania in 2009. In 2020, she became a regular in the top-30 on FIDE’s list of the highest-ranked women in the world.
