RichKasa

Richard Kasa was a devoted chess teacher, community organizer, bridge player, scrabble player, and so much more. Richard taught for Academic Chess as an after school chess teacher starting in 2011. He was always excited to teach children about the game he loved. He was also very active in the community. He passed away of a heart attack in July, 2015. He is survived by three younger sisters whom he helped raise, his dad, and lots of friends. He was always super giving, never expecting anything in return. He was my room mate for 4 years, my co worker for 5, and became a dear friend. We will be running the Richard Kasa Memorial tournament on Satuday, Septmeber 12, 2015 in Mission Viejo, CA which will be free for any kids who want to play.
