I am Luka Oboladze, an international master in chess. I live in Tbilisi, Georgia and I love communicating and teaching people from different parts of the world. I've been playing chess since I was 4 years old, so I have almost 15 years of playing experience. I've participated in a lot of open tournaments and played with a lot of top grandmasters, like Goryachkina, Pashikian, Beliavsky and so on. I have also played a lot of youth tournaments and reached many successes, like being in the top 10 of the world under 12 section, twice top 5 in european youth chess championships and 4 times champion of Georgia. I have 2 years teaching experience with beginners and after our studies all of them had significantly better results. I can teach a chess player of any level. I have commentated local chess events in Georgia and really enjoyed it. My style of playing chess is a mixture of dynamic and positional, because the main thing about becoming strong in chess is being good at all aspects of the game and not just one. I'm good at combinations but also pretty good at playing static positions with maneuvers. My teaching methodology is analyzing the games of my students, finding their strong and weak sides. Finding the opening repertoire which best fits his/her style. Analyzing games from the strongest grandmasters, classics. Working on endgames. Keeping track of newest novelties and trends used in recent tournaments and analyzing them. Having a friendly relationship with students.
