Kosteniuk, Ushenina Qualify For Super Final: Women's Speed Chess GP Leg 4 Results

GM Alexandra Kosteniuk won the fourth and final FIDE Chess.com Women's Speed Chess Championship Grand Prix. The Russian GM defeated GM Humpy Koneru 7-5 and qualified for the Super Final against GM Anna Ushenina on Monday, July 20.

GM Hou Yifan came third after beating IM Sarasadat Khademalsharieh 7.5-2.5. A full news report will follow soon.

The Super Final of the Women's Speed Chess Championship starts on Monday, July 20 at 7:00 a.m. Pacific / 16:00 Central Europe with expert commentary on Chess.com/TV.

Each Grand Prix leg is a 16-player knockout and lasts five days, including one rest day after the semifinals. The dates of the remaining leg July 15, 16, 17, and 19. Each of the Grand Prix legs has a total prize fund of $10,300 with $3,000 going to the winner.

In each Grand Prix leg, every player scores cumulative Grand Prix points according to her position in the final standings. The two players who score the highest number of cumulative Grand Prix points in all three Grand Prix legs qualify for the Super Final on July 20.
