Update: Unfortunately, due to the late-notice replacement of GM Ding Liren with GM Ian Nepomniachtchi, we have had to cancel the 2023 SCC Bracket Contest.

The 2023 Speed Chess Championship is sprinting towards us, with only a week left before the main event begins! Sixteen of the game's quickest thinkers will compete to see who can make it over the finish line and be crowned as this year's Speed Chess Champion.

Current titleholder GM Hikaru Nakamura will seek to defend his crown against a star-studded field of challengers, including GMs Magnus Carlsen, Ding Liren, Wesley So, Fabiano Caruana, Alireza Firouzja, Nihal Sarin, Gukesh D, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Levon Aronian, and other speed chess sensations.

Will Nakamura achieve a landmark sixth consecutive title? Can Carlsen close the distance with a third win? Or will a new challenger rise? Tell us by entering your prediction, and be in to win up to a year of Diamond Chess.com membership! This includes unlimited puzzles, lessons, and more.

Submit your predictions before Sunday, September 4, at 6 a.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. CEST to participate. Predictions will be locked after the deadline, so make sure you don't miss your chance!
