National Championships Round-Up
The world chess championship crowded some tournaments out of the chess headlines, so by way of a round-up here are the results of three recent national championships.
David Navara won his fourth Czech Championship with an undefeated score of 7/9 points.
The 2012 event was a 9-round Swiss with 47 players held in Kouty nad Desnou from 12-20 May.
Navara just edged out Alexej Kislinsky by virtue of a superior tie-break score.

Cuban Chess Championships
Leinier Dominguez won his fourth Cuban Championship when he defeated rival Lazaro Bruzon in the second game of their final match to win by a score of 1½-½.
Despite his victory, Dominguez is still one short of Bruzon's haul of 5 national titles.
Defending champion Quesada Yuniesky won the 3/4th place playoff match to finish 3rd.

Baadur Jobava achieved his third national title with a crushing victory in the 71st Georgian Championships.
Jobava was a heavy ratings favourite, but even so his undefeated score of 10/11 in the 12 player single round-robin event was an excellent result.
Merab Gagunashvili took second place after winning a blitz playoff with Davit Zarkua 1½-½.
