FIDE Grand Prix Series 2012/13
FIDE have confirmed details of the venues and players for the 2012/13 FIDE Grand Prix series, which starts in London on 20 September.
Teimour Rajdabov, Sergey Karjakin and Hikaru Nakamura are the top seeds among the 18 competitors in the series.
After the first Grand Prix event in London, the series moves on to Tashkent, Lisbon, Madrid, Berlin and Paris. Each event features 12 of the players, and each player competes in four events. The top two overall in the Grand Prix will qualify for the Candidates event in 2014.
Magnus Carlsen, Levon Aronian, Vladimir Kramnik and Viswanathan Anand have already qualified for the 2014 Candidates and have decided not to take part in the series.

Kindly note that the date for the first leg in London has moved by one day and arrival will be on the 20th September with the 1st round on the 21st September 2012.
Similarly, the Lisbon event has been rescheduled by one week starting with arrival on the 17th July 2013 and 1st round on the 18th July 2013. This is due to a move in the start date of the Candidates in London which will now start on the 20th of March 2013 due to the availability of the playing venue.
