We're excited to announce our newest partner, Discord! One of the largest communication platforms in the world, Discord is among streamers' and gamers' favorite places to hang out while playing.

To celebrate the occasion, we've just launched three Discord bots on our Play Computer page for you to challenge. Meet Wumpus, Discord's hero who enjoys food, naps, and is eager to play with a new friend; Clyde, the face of Discord who knows a lot but can sometimes get a little... glitchy; and Nelly, Discord's maintenance robo-hamster who keeps everything running and squeaky clean.

And stay on the lookout. Wumpus may bring more friends to play later this month, and rumor has it that they're the strongest chess player of the bunch!

Chess.com members will also have the chance to enjoy an exclusive offer from now until October 4. When you draw or win against a Discord bot, you'll see a message inviting you to claim one free month of Discord Nitro. Redeem your prize to enjoy custom emojis, animated avatars, HD streaming, larger file uploads, and much more! Please note that this offer is subject to Discord's eligibility requirements, and not all users may be eligible to redeem it.

Discord Nitro subscribers not on a premium Chess.com account will also have the chance to claim one month of free Chess.com Diamond. On your desktop app, browser, or mobile Discord app, head to your User Settings and find the Chess.com Diamond offer in your Gift Inventory. Click claim, and you’ll be taken to a landing page to claim your offer! Learn more here

Upodate: The last (and strongest) Discord bot has arrived! Meet Professor Doctor Wumpus, Discord’s resident Professor Doctor. They were the youngest student in their prestigious doctorate program and by age 13, and were already the medical director of their hospital. They also have a very sophisticated jacket. Watch the video below to see how IM Levy Rozman did against this mighty bot!

We also invite you to join Chess.com's Discord server. We'll be running a series of fun activities for our Discord community (including an epic meme battle) to celebrate the partnership. Click here to join our Discord server, and check out the #discord-events channel to keep up with the action!
