Computer Chess Championship To Play Out Caruana-Carlsen Game 12

The bonus tournament has now ended.
Of the 56 games played from the position where Carlsen offered a draw, the computers had the following results:
- White wins: 3 games
- Black wins: 27 games
- Draw: 26 games

Chess.com's Computer Chess Championship will pause its regular programming of CCC 3 to play out the position from game 12 where Carlsen and Caruana agreed to a draw.
The top chess engines in the world (including Stockfish, Komodo, Houdini, and Lc0) will play bonus games from that position starting at 2 p.m. Pacific time today, Monday, Nov. 26 and running through the world championship tiebreak.

The top eight chess engines in the CCC will play a 2x-round-robin tournament starting after move 31 of the world chess championship game 12. The time control is rapid chess, 30 minutes plus five-second increment.
The engines:
- Stockfish
- Komodo
- Lc0
- Houdini
- Ethereal
- Fire
- Andscacs
- Laser
The games will be started from PGN to ensure fairness for all participating engines.
Why run this bonus tournament?
Despite universal agreement from the chess engines and grandmaster analysts covering the world championship match that Black had a clear advantage in game 12, the two players agreed to a draw on move 31 to get to the tiebreaks to decide a world champion.
After a rest day Tuesday, Carlsen and Caruana will play a rapid (and blitz if necessary) playoff on Wednesday, Nov. 28. Carlsen will play White in game one of the rapid tiebreak match.
CCC 3 will resume after the special world championship bonus games on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
