Collegiate Chess League Spring 2025 Registration
Another season of the Collegiate Chess League (CCL) is just around the corner, and we are excited to announce that registrations for the Spring 2025 season are now open! The CCL will once again feature a robust $25,000 prize fund, the popular four vs. four team format, and presenting partner Susquehanna, one of the world's leading quantitative trading firms.
The Collegiate Chess League is the premier online chess competition for college students. If you're a university student who loves chess and would like to represent your school, you can register today on LeagueSpot's website.
Last season, more than 430 teams and 2,300 students from 220 different colleges and universities in 24 countries participated in the event, as the CCL continues only to grow. This Spring season, teams will again compete in the 5+2 time control. Fans and players can expect fast-paced battles, dramatic tactics, and all other sorts of chess action.
No matter your strength as a collegiate chess player, we invite you to register and play in this prestigious tournament. From hobbyists to professionals such as GMs Aryan Tari, Robby Kevlishvili, Mikhail Antipov, Nicolas Checa, and others, the CCL is the perfect competition for all college students.
In the recently concluded Fall 2024 season, Missouri defeated Saint Louis University (SLU) to claim their second title with a 9–7 win in the final that earned the $5,000 first-place prize and ended a three-season run for SLU. Will Missouri begin its own streak in Spring 2025, or will SLU return to the throne—or will another school come in and take the glory of a CCL championship?
There’s only one way to find out.
