Chessbase and Rybka join forces

For several years Rybka has been the strongest chess engine by a mile, topping all the usual computer rating lists like the SSDF.  However, Chessbase have the most popular user interface and Rybka was not available directly on this platform (it could only be installed as a UCI engine within the program).

All this is about to change as the new improved Rybka 3 will soon be available for sale by Chessbase on their popular GUI (see moody cover pictured!).  Rybka means 'little fish' in the Czech language, but it's more of a shark in chess circles, as suggested by the cover!

This shock alliance seems to have crashed the Chessbase website at the moment, but all being well Rybka will available from 1st August and probably in all good internet chess stores soon.
