Chill Logic Beats Michelle Khare
Logic defeated his opponent Michelle Khare after two Botez gambits in the first match of the day.
In their first game, Michelle was putting up a good fight during the opening. Things went sideways when she decided to go for a risky attack on the queenside and thought she had her queen trapped and traded it for a rook. Logic had no trouble converting the position.
Michelle once again did a great job in the opening during her second game. However, tragedy struck when she went for her second Botez gambit of the day and hung her queen in the center of the board. Logic played well and maintained his better position throughout the entire game. Michelle was too focused on the position and forgot about her clock, losing the match after flagging.
Logic is leading group A after the first two rounds and will face Rainn Wilson on Saturday, February 20.

MoistCr1tikal Tames The Beast
PogChamps veteran, MoistCr1tikal, defeated MrBeast in a match that was full of surprises. Cr1tikal started the first game with the Dutch opening. Spending so much time with "The Prophet" GM Daniel Naroditsky has rubbed off on Charlie, as he pre-moved his first five opening moves:
Cr1tikal's confidence began to fade after MrBeast trapped Charlie's queen. It seemed like it was all over for Black when the Chess Jesus came back from the dead and checkmated MrBeast.
The second game was smoother for Charlie as MrBeast miscalculated a tactic and ended up down a piece. After consolidating his position and marching his e-pawn up the board, Cr1tikal got into a comfortable position. MrBeast finally caved after he got low on time and blundered his remaining pieces.
Cr1tikal has moved to a perfect 4-0 record in PogChamps 3, and is in first place in group D. He will face Ludwig on Sunday, February 21.

Rainn Hits Tubbo With The "Schrute Bomb"
Rainn Wilson defeated Tubbo in the last match of the day after the Minecraft streamer played some hasty moves. In their first game, Tubbo missed the chance to punish his opponent's opening mistake, and Rainn got a significant advantage. Rainn played the rest of the game with great precision and scored the first point of the match.
Rainn also won the second game after opening the game with the "Schrute Bomb" and taking his opponent's knight. It seemed like Tubbo had promising counterplay attacking Rainn's king, but the American actor defended well. Enjoying an enormous material advantage, Rainn eventually delivered checkmate and won the match.
Rainn has a record of four wins and one loss in PogChamps 3, and currently sits in second place in group D. He will face the group leader, Logic, on Saturday, February 20.
