'Chess Giants' tournament re-named

The current 'Chess Giants' tournament being held in Yerevan has been re-named the Karen Asrian Memorial after the young Armenian player who passed away suddenly just days ago.

The event continued today (12th June) after being postponed for 2 days.  The rapid open tournament due to take place alongside the main event has been cancelled.
