It's official: the Chess.com Streamers Program is expanding to YouTube.

After the latest upgrades from our tech team, showcasing your YouTube stream on Chess.com is just as easy as showcasing your Twitch stream. Our goal is to support creators wherever they create content, and this step brings us closer to achieving that.

We're excited to support the growing chess streaming community on YouTube, and encourage all who stream to apply to join the Chess.com Streamers Program via this link!

What are the benefits of the Streamers Program?

  • Access to spotlight features on the Chess.com website, such as Chess.com/TV and Chess.com/Streamers.
  • Access to the Chess.com Streamers Discord for direct interaction with Chess.com staff and fellow streamers, along with resources and support.
  • Chess.com affiliate code, allowing you to earn a 15% commission on subscriptions purchased through your link.
  • Access to additional resources and opportunities at the company's discretion.

What does this mean for me?

Those who stream on YouTube now have the ability to join the Chess.com Streamers Program, unlocking powerful publicity tools, such as being featured on ChessTV. This gives you more avenues to share your content with the Chess.com community.

For those who enjoy watching streams, prepare to see more streams from amazing chess content creators on YouTube!

Do I have to pick either Twitch or YouTube?

No! You can link both of your accounts to your profile and use whichever one you'd like.

Twitch and YouTube accounts can now be linked on your Chess.com profile.

How do I show my YouTube stream on Chess.com?

It's a very similar process to streaming on Twitch; go to the Connected Accounts tab in the Settings menu and connect your Google/YouTube account. After that, you're good to go!

Connecting your Google account works the same way as connecting any other accounts in the settings menu.

Can Community Streamers connect their YouTube accounts?

Unfortunately, the Community Streamers program is only available for those who stream on Twitch right now. We plan to expand this program to YouTube once we have the technical capability to do so.
