Chess.com is excited to announce that our previously monthly Bullet Brawl is now happening every week! Starting in July, our bullet arena for titled players is going weekly, with a $1,000 prize fund for each event. Every Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. ET/19:00 CEST/22:30 IST, fans and players alike will get the chance to enjoy the thrill of high-speed chess.

Bullet Brawl started as a monthly event at the beginning of 2023, with the first happening on January 28. Since then, two players have shared a first-place prize monopoly in the five arenas that took place.

Coming as no surprise, the absolute king of Bullet Brawl so far has been the legendary GM Hikaru Nakamura. The American is probably the most dangerous bullet player on the planet and has been a regular in the event. Fans can expect to see more of the bullet savant in upcoming arenas, playing incredible chess and pulling off more of his unbelievable swindles:

With two wins on his resume, streamer GM Jose Martinez is the other player dominating the event so far. The Peruvian grandmaster is a well-known speed demon, always treacherous in fast time controls. Now with more opportunities to play, it will be interesting to see if Martinez will catch up to Nakamura.

With the event's increased frequency, fans can also expect to see more of another of their favorite bullet expert. GM Daniel Narodistsky, currently the highest-rated bullet player on Chess.com (as of June 19, 2023), is no stranger to Bullet Brawls. Having already shared the podium with Nakamura and Martinez, Naroditsky is one of the many players expected to participate in future editions of the event.

If you're not a titled player but still enjoy the danger and excitement of bullet chess, you can also relish the good news. Untitled community members can participate in the Community Bullet Brawl, now weekly as well. With the same format but even more prizes, the community event is now better than ever. Join the official Chess.com Community Club to play this and other community events.
