Former student of a famous Moldavian coach V.A. Chebanenko together with V.Bologan, D.Rogozenko, V.Iordacesku

In 1989 shared 2-3 place in USSR junior championship in Pinsk with K.Landa
winning in the last round V.Kramnik. Later made draw 3-3 in the match with V. Kramnik in Moscow 1989.

IM from 1994 and GM title from 2002 after making 5 GM norms in a row. Highest ELO FIDE 2589 in 2003.

Winner of many international tournaments as:
3 times Israel champion: under 20 in 1993, blitz and team in 2000,
1993 - Tel Aviv closed 1 place, Lenk 1 place, Gstaad 1 place, Saanen 1 place
1996 - Cannes open 1-3 place
1998 - Canadian open 1-3 place
2000 - Israelian premier league with Elitzur - 1 place, Banyoles -1 place

 Winner of more than 30 rapid tournaments in Spain from 2001-2005
Professional chess coach. In 2004 was helping WC V.Kramnik in his match vs. P.Leko. Among my students are Woman WC A.Stefanova and many IMs and GMs, With Elkana chess school we won a world championship under 12 in New York 2000 on kasparovchess.com
