I live with my wife in Richland Washington.  I grew up in the midwest.  I have loved chess all my life.  I began playing tournament chess when I got out of college and was living in the southeastern US, so I know I started learning about it too late.  Talk about an eye opener!  My first tournament I played in I lost in the first round, the second, the third, the fourth, and then finally in the last round I got to play someone who was blind..........yeah, I lost that one too!  I am probably destined to be ranked among the lowly forever.  I'm trying to take a course of study to remedy that and hope to begin playing in tournaments again now that I'm getting settled in my new home.  I'll let you know how it goes.  I've been away from chess for about 10 years.
