STFX Chess Club 2021-22

Welcome to Xavier Chess Club 2021-2022!

We provide a fun and friendly environment for club members to hone their chess skills by getting the chance to play against other Xavier student chess enthusiasts.

We also provide chess resources which can be found in our club’s Google drive. They will help you improve your skills and become a much better chess player.

Our club is open to players of all skill levels, regardless of whether you are a new player or an advanced one. Look forward to having lots of fun while learning various new things about the amazing world of chess!

Rules
1. Be respectful. We are all here to learn chess and have fun.

2. No insulting your opponents, unless it is friendly banter. Any disrespectful or demeaning behaviour will not be tolerated.

3. No raging. These are casual chess games amongst classmates, and so you have no reason to get angry at them. Unless you made a mistake, then by all means, hate yourself for a good 2 minutes, and then move on.

4. Have fun! That’s what we are all here for
