Imam Sulistyanto (Right-Blue) in ITS Chess Tournament

Hi, my name is Imam, a chess enthusiast since 7 yo, Born in August 24th, 2006. i'm Indonesian and here's my story so far-

Firstly i know abt chess from my uncle, i just saw a piece that so attractive to me. As time goes by, i played that chess at my elementary schl in 2014 (maybe?). In that time i inconsistently played as well but my schl offering me to play at the tournament. i join the selection and win it, but stupidly i rejected the offer that come to me cause im afraid of the exam things. Luckily, my friend who losing against me in selection got 2nd place when they play in that tournament. What a throw by me. But, that's ok. i learn from the past about not to throwing about chance that i got.

in middle hi-shcl, i missed any chess'. but covid-19 makes me learn something new and remembering that i used to play chess in the past. i dont know  what forum i learn, but firstly i learn chess again from facebook that showing some old grandmaster such like Anatoly Karpov, Akiba Rubinstein, Rashid Nezhmetdinov, Boris Spassky, Paul Keres, etc. But, even though i watch that game, i learn nothing until i got the opening that seems "autopilotic", thats London system! that opening was so addictive. i bring that opening into my game in senior high schl, suprisingly Imam got a big win rate in that opening. But, i feel bored when plays that opening, so i went to play c-pawn push in rest of my school life.

finally i joined a tournament. Firstly i played in UNOSO Chess tour, my record is 0/7, pretty bad ovrall for debutant, but im lucky coz i find a master that want to help me to grow. Second, i joined tournament in UPB chess tour. Such a memorial tournament, i got so much friend and get 3/6. Until both tournament, i just learn something new such like the tactic, playing online tour, and some friendly match in rest of my school life against some of my junior, friends, and teachers. Just take in your note if i play chess inconsistently.

Now, Imam were in the new city and joining a college stages. i played in 2024's ICT with a 4/7 point and finally play Blitz FIDE rated tournament in this city with 4/9 point (4 win 1 lose in black, 4 lose in white). I'm kinda frequently play chess in some places at my campus and my home. Somehow make it as a brand or even a community that play chess. I'll keep improving, sharing, and playing with all of my effort.
