As a cognitive scientist, I am very interested in learning theory and how to best structure the material for my students. My Chessable courses on strategy received excellent feedback, as they invite the students to engage in higher-order learning and deeper processing when learning material. In "Chess Crime and Punishment" course, I used the technique of learning from mistakes - the course shows typical and instructive mistakes for the club players and how to avoid those mistakes and punish the opponent's mistakes.

Chess coaching is beautiful as I can combine my passion for chess and teaching, together with my expertise in the field of cognitive science. I give individual as well as group lessons.

I generally use the following methods when teaching/coaching:

1) Deep analysis of the student's games.
2) Identifying the student's strengths/weaknesses.
3) Socratic method/Epistemic feedback where I guide the student in discovering the truth rather than spoon-feeding the solution.
