I started playing chess about 8 years ago, when my mother told me about a local club in an old brick building that looks pretty sad on the outside. Persistence and keeping at it really made me like the game and I went to State at Oregon once, which was quite fun. All of the members of the club are very good, and always gave me a good challenge every time I went. 

I went to tournaments in Coquille sometimes on the weekend, where I would lose a lot when I was still new at chess. But over time, I would place higher and improve my game by reviewing each game at the club, where we could find my mistakes and where I could improve. That's just a little bit about myself and chess. I hope to continue to improve as I keep playing!
