Creator Cup Arrives at the Scene! A Battle of Creators Made by Creators
Creator Cup showcases upcoming chess creators in a newly created amateur chess championship. The PogChamps-inspired features 16 rising creators and personalities playing rapid games for partnerships, content, and bragging rights.
The 16-player group stage and play-offs run until December 1st before the finals happening on December 8th.
Creator Cup will be hosted by Houseline and Gilbyfish123 two new content creators seeking to create an enjoyable event for the chess community while bringing together creators. Fans can expect a lineup of talented creators to grace the field of what promises to be a fun and exciting event.

Players
Sixteen rising chess creators and personalities are joining the Creator Cup field:
Creator Cup features a Group Stage followed by a Championship and Consolation single-elimination brackets.
Overview
Sixteen Players Participate
Each Player Starts with 10 minutes on their clock, with 5 seconds added after every move.
Group Stage
Players are divided into four groups of four players.
Each group plays a single round-robin, with participants playing a two-game match against every other player in their group.
If a match ends in a tie, players contest a 3+5 game, with the player with the highest accuracy score starting with White. Players keep swapping colors and playing 3+5 games until a decisive game decides the winner.
Players receive 3 points for an outright match win, 2 points for winning a match in the tiebreaks, 1 point for losing the match in the tiebreaks, and 0 points for losing a match without tiebreaks.
The first and second from each group advance to the Champions bracket.
The third and fourth from each group go to the Consolation bracket.
Championship and Consolation Brackets
Both Brackets will consist of eight players.
Both brackets are single-elimination, with players who win their matches advancing to the next stage.
Matches are in the best-of-four format.
Tiebreaks
If there's a tie in any stage of the tournament, the following tiebreaks, in order, decide the winner:
Match points earned in matches between tied players.
Game points earned in games between tied players (regulation only).
Average CAPS score across all 3 group play matches (regulation only). The player with the lowest average CAPS score among those who are tied will be awarded the lowest rank of the tied players. This entire process is repeated until all ties have been resolved.
