Omakar, Sanmesh wins U-14 Chess *

Omkar Damle of Hedgewar High School won the Under 14 Chess tournament
organized by Taleigao Chess Academy at Shri Tulsimata Pandurang Temple,
Odlembhat Taleigao. Omkar (4) lost to Gouri Hadkonkar(4) of Our Lady of
Rosary, Dona Paula in the last round. Rohan Ahuja (4)of Sharada Mandir &
Josiah Rebello (4) of Don Bosco High School, Panaji also won the last round
but all stood 1st to 4th respectively on progressive.



In Second Group Sanmesh Kambli(5) of Peoples high School, Panaji won all
five games. Girish Kulkarni(4) of Hedgewar Primary School, Panaji and Owais
Sheikh(4) of Sharada Manir, Miramar stood 2nd and 3rd respectively on
progressive.

In all 38 children participated in this tournament. Shravan Barve was the
Chief Arbiter. Shravan was assisted by Shyam Joshi and Anjankumar.
