Anyone?
Windows 10 desktop app
I completely agree. I play a lot of chess on Windows 10 and while the website is well done, an app could work even better, especially for a touch screen. Android and iPad tablets shouldn't be allowed this advantage! The apps on those devices work much better than using a web browser with Windows! Why can't there be an app for Windows?!
We considered it and for now decided not to do it. Maybe in the future if windows tablets become more widespread, but currently very small % of people use them. We decided to spend more time on new features than recreating the same features for a new device.
A desktop app would be great! You can also connect it to your Discord like you would with other games and show other people when you're playing Chess.com. Good for chess and good for Chess.com!
It'd be nice if there was a desktop so I don't have to worry about doxxing myself if I stream chess. And also discord and twitch integration would be awesome if it was easy to play viewers, or do other things with them.
I forked your current code because I was looking for some specific features that this doesn't have yet, I managed to add a visual notification that shows the current board state anytime it changes on the page. This also works with multiple boards in the events view.
The main change that I originally intended to add is now the discord status only shows if you're actually playing chess / puzzles / etc. It was annoying to have on all the time if you just had it in the background. It also has more details now, like if your playing online, ai, puzzles, etc
It also has some settings now (you have to manually enable the notifications)
You can check out the preview builds here for now: https://github.com/isivisi/Chess.com/releases/
its a work in progress atm, the notifications can be behind a move sometimes.
Once its in a decent state I can make a pull request if you want the changes @JairusSW

jesus you need to make a channel on how you do this
Hi, I know this has been suggested before and discarded because the website should be sufficient, but it would be really nice to have a Windows 10 app for desktop because more and more people use convertible laptops and the website isn't very touch friendly for Tablet Mode. Could you reconsider developing such an app?
