Syrian flag

I call on the site officials to replace the
Syrian flag and adopt the new flag thank you .

It will be appropriate once the a coalition government is formed and fully assumes control of Syria's international representation; and likewise officially amends the flag. As of me posting the Syrian transitional government (STG) is attempting a coalition with the former regime's PM: Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali; and the STG nominated PM: Mohammed al-Bashir.

It is important to clarify the flag's origins (for new viewers), it being the flag of the 1st and 2nd Syrian Republics; and that the flag has been adopted by many groups including by Islamic extremists. However the flag itself carries no extremist connotation.

I guess once Syria officially declares this as their official flag with an international recognized government, either with a law or an official statement, CC will make the change. I don't know what standard they follow, maybe UN recognized flags?

respect for the memory of more than a million people who were killed under torture and more than 14 million who were displaced from Syria and became refugees in other countries at the hands of a criminal and corrupt regime. The new flag currently represents the Syrian people and has been raised on all Syrian embassies and has no connection to Islamic groups. Thank you for your understanding.
