Hi SteelieMD,
This is an excellent suggestion! Having a customizable "time per move" setting in the analysis feature would indeed make reviewing games more user-friendly. The current auto-play speed can feel a bit rushed, especially when you're trying to digest the nuances of each move or explain the game to someone else. Giving users control over the playback speed, down to milliseconds, would make it a lot more versatile.
Your example of setting 100ms or 1 second per move is a great starting point. It would also be helpful if there were preset speeds (e.g., slow, medium, fast) alongside a manual slider for fine-tuning. This would cater to both casual users and those wanting precise control.
If this hasn’t been formally suggested elsewhere, your post is definitely in the right place—it’s thoughtful and well-explained. Hopefully, the developers take notice and consider implementing it. Thanks for sharing this idea!
Cheers,
What the topic says. A feature in game analysis that allows you to set time per move while the game is on auto-replay, possibly in milliseconds. Right now the Play feature makes moves too fast, and rather than slowing it down, I think it's more preferable to simply give the choice to the user.
Example, I import a game, let the game report go and then want to watch a full replay of the game from beginning to finish. Setting time per move to 100ms and pressing Play will replay the game where every move takes 1 second each.
I haven't seen a suggestions topic, but I may have missed it, so I hope this is an okay place for this.
