What is this new streak function ? Was this just introduced ?

Yes, I'd like to know as well. Is it the number of days in a row that you have signed onto chess.com? Mine says 854, so I'm curious.

as I understand it, this is the number of days of continuous play or/and days when you just go to the site

And I really hope that for every 1000 points they give you a title or $$$

The streak doesn't really give anything, but it helps to track your activity!

This is our new feature that shows how many days in a row the player has logged into the game.

The streak helps users to motivate themselves to practice playing chess every day!

Please make an option to disable this cos i'm not interested in "motivation to play chess daily" infact its giving me unnecessary pressure to play chess daily to keep my fire burning, its a distraction, there should be an option on the home settings page to disable it

I also understand that this makes your Daily Puzzle streak go away. Some of us don't like that.🙁

So where do you find your streak? I've looked in Stats but don't see it there. Anyone?

Can they PLEASE make things like this optional? The way we can choose which way we do puzzles?

A be-here-every-day streak is meaningless to me because I am here every day.

I would rather see points than views.

I hate the new club interface.

Please give us choices instead of taking away things some of us like.

OK, so far I like the new streak feature. Over the past couple of months, I have been very lackadaisical in coming on to chess.com to actually PLAY. I'm glad I now have something that encourages me to sign up for a game (even if it's only vs. a bot), and play every day. And when I play, I find myself doing more puzzles, studying more games, trying more exercises, etc. Good job, chess.com!

can y leave streak and start normal game with points

I find this new feature to be an annoying distraction. The developer should have included an option to turn this feature on or off in settings.

This sounds like something they've copied from Duolingo.

It's not available to everyone as far as I'm aware.

I find it really distracting when the streak alerts pop up. I would love to be able to disable them.
