Roll back the change to clicking an opponent's username in Live Chess

I hate, hate, HATE the recent change where clicking an opponent's username (which I do all the time to see if I've played them before) now just functions as a hyperlink to their profile.

99% sure that this was the way it worked before: you click their username and a little box appears showing your record against that person, along with the opportunity to message them, friend them, etc.

How it works now: you click their username, no box comes up, no new browser window is created, and you are immediately taken to their chess.com profile. Which means that you immediately leave the actual game you're currently playing. Which means you have to frantically scramble for the back button to try and get your game back before the ridiculous abandonment timer declares that you've lost  the game by abandonment.

For the love of God, revert this. Please.

Maybe this is actually a bug? Now it seems like the behavior isn't consistent, and doesn't function the same way in every Live Chess game...

am having the same problem, half of the time when I click on the player's profile it takes me into their profile and away from the game 🤯

YESSS, IT IS SO ANNOYING. I wonder why there is only one complaint regarding this problem.
