If you get disconnected from a chess game...

Like, if your internet randomly goes out, and your time runs out or smn, it counts as a loss.

do you think it's possible to change this somehow? Like, make a different rule? idk

ArrasLynx

it would be possible

also i sent you the forum link you were asking about

LaffeyPlayingChess

Probably not

christopherlincho

yeah that happened to me once

I dont think so... it makes sense to just make it a draw but the loss goes to the person with bad internet

GizmoOnline

in a game with clock why not let the time run out ?
I got a pc crash, i have a fast pc on ssd so i reboot super fast 20s in total max
I was in advance in time in my 5min Blitz game so when i get back i got the same time as my opponent but the game was forced "abandon" for me... so I lost it.
terribly frustrating and unfair

I would like it if the site would offer the option to the person who didn't get disconnected to NOT let the game count.

Someone who is about to lose a game disconnects without resigning? I'll take the points AND give my opponent a thumb down.

Someone was clearly beating me when they lost their connection (as happened just before I wrote this message)? I'd rather not get the points.
