How/why did this draw happen?

Although we were engaged in an intense middlegame, the game ends abruptly at move 28 and claims to be decided by "double forfeit". Another peculiarity, I can't find the game using my games archive. Would anyone explain why or why this happened? I felt somewhat miffed I wasn't able to secure the win.

It might be that both of you disconnected, or that Chess.com had a server update.

Well I can guarantee I didn't resign or disconnect; I think it's something in relation to this site itself (as AMagirlcom suggested, possibly an update).

There was a scheduled live server restart at that time. It seems those are now available in the archives and show as double forfeits.
