This is what I was wondering? why chess.com is making unnecessary changes when they are not doing anything about people who abandon and disconnect games.

Yes why are they doing that? the flags made the game more interesting, bad.
I like to chat with my opponents in the longer games, and if I see a flag, that's a great ice-breaker, because what else do we really know about who we are playing? For instance, with Russia I always advise the player to put the vodka bottle down. With France, I inquire whether they can bake me a croissant. Italy has the best pizza, so I know where to place an order. Mexico, tacos, although sometimes I order a bean burrito. Canada is useful because their quarters fit in our laundry machines, so I ask for help with that project, or else see whether I can get a discount on maple syrup. Usually I order 10 gallons, my orders have yet to arrive though I must say. England, I wish them luck with Brexit, I know that's a mess, and Netherlands, I ask for help building a dam. My backyard floods sometimes.

Usually I can see the opponent’s flag 
but maybe it has something to do with their settings. They can choose whether to show or hide their flag?
From now on we all be forced to use the Intergalactic Federation flag. They are still designing it.

Recently, when I hover over my opponent's flag, the name of the country appears out of screen and I can't read it. This happens in Safari and Chrome. Anyone else having this problem? I'm on a mac.

One possible reason that you cannot see some of your opponents flag is because of the country they are from, for example if the person is from russia then you will not be able to see it, the flag will be a grey box instead of the russian flag, this is also shown in tournaments between grandmasters so it is not just for you guys. The reason why? You can search it in google.

This is a known issue and should be fixed soon, if it isn't already.

TricksterTheFox: LOL! Love that our quarters are so useful for you! And yes, our maple syrup is Awesome! Funny though, we are on the metric system so we may not understand 10 gallons LOL! That would be about 38 litres! 😮😀

Recently,i have noticed that i can not see my oponent's country flag and i cant see where he/she is from.
Is it a matter of a new update?Or something like a glitch ?
