Abandons in 0,0,0....

Why does this happen? The abandonment clock comes up on my opponent, and when it gets to 0:00 it just keeps ticking over and over and over - 0:00? The game keeps going.

Auto resign yes, I think.

On the mobile app. I don't know if the person's thinking or getting a cup of tea. 

If you're seeing it after the first move and before the 10th move, it's a bug in the long move timer code and I believe it mainly happens in Arenas.

If the time taken is less than the long move timer allowance, it can be ignored.

I have reported it to staff before.

The game clock is winding down normally, but the "abandons in" clock has gone all the way down to zero and just continues to flash 0:00. 

I won the game by abandonment, but that didn't register.

Well the squeaky wheel gets oiled... hopefully. 

There's a bug in the abandonment timer in Arenas. The bug is that it shows up when it shouldn't. It's related to the long move timer before move 10 has been completed but starts running immediately and only gives 15 seconds.

Staff are aware.

So this still happens to me very frequently, mainly in arena games. Time for my opponent goes down to 0:00 and just keeps blinking, sometimes for up to 3 or 4 mins but never abandons.

If staff are aware, why does this still happen after years of them being aware? To me, it is very misleading if it's suggested to me as a player the game will be won by abandonment in 15 seconds but then I sit there for 4 mins or more while my opponent goes to the bathroom and it shows me his time is long up.
