You could put the positions in database like SCID vs PC or Chessbase and the use the software or print out, also what was the rating of the player your student beat? Also which direction was the Adults rating going?
Any ways best of luck with your students!
Hello! I am a new chess teacher at our school. We are using the ChessKid.com curriculum they give to schools. Is there a way to preload various board layouts onto the analysis board? I'd like to take the exercises given in the curriculum and be able to show them to the whole group without having to waste time setting up each board. Ideally, I'd just be able to click from one set up to the next, with the ability to use arrows and such and move pieces on each board layout.
Backstory:
My own children have far outpaced me in their ratings due to studying at chesskid.com and I find myself teaching chess with the hope of giving them some local competition. Because I am not personally a strong player I need to use pre-arranged puzzles and exercises (until we can find a better teacher.) So please excuse me if I am not using the correct teaching terminology as I am just trying to keep up with my own elementary aged boys!
On a positive note, if I can get enough interest I think we can have an actual masters level chess coach. We've been advocating for more (any!) scholastic options in Wyoming for well over a year and I think we finally got someone's attention when my 8-year-old beat an adult at the local state tournament.
