There is a bill going through the legislature in CA called AB5 which will reclassify
independent contractors as employees. This bill was especially developed because
Uber and Lyft drivers were being under paid and being exploited by big tech companies.
Am assuming this applies also to after school teachers them being labeled "independent
contractors". Dont know how this is going to impact after school chess programs.in CA
