Asking what the difference between every 100-200 rating isn't very productive. You just have to increase your understanding of certain concepts, knowledge and ability and that's all it is. You can't pin point it to something specific.
If you have 3 players at your elo all of them can increase by 100-200 rating from different means.
Improve your knowledge of your openings after every game, look at them, it will get you into easier situations that you are more familiar with.
Save the tactics you miss ingame and keep looking at them, daily.
Study the common endgames, especially king/pawn and rook/pawn endgames. Get familiar with opposition.

How to get from 1300-1500 in Rapid
Your account started 1800 and declined to 1400... not much of an accomplishment with 73% losses
I would say try winning more games at faster time controls. That's sure to bring about the result you're looking for.
Play Stronger Opposition ( 150 -- 300 rating difference is what I would suggest) As much as you can, anaylse your games. i wouldnt focus, and/or put too much time into Openings until you are at least on the borderline of 1600. even then you dont need or have to memorize tons of variations until youre prollly around 2000. I wouldnt suggest playing more then one opening at the 1300s 1400s 1500s or even 1600s stick to one opening you know and feel you play well with white and vice versa with Black. But most Importlantly Just have Fun.
Thank you everyone! I was doing everything what you mentioned and now I am 1404! Thanks for you support and useful tips
Good job, you are improving fast .
Thank you, another thing I am also doing is enjoying the game, and it is also about psychology, when I am frustrated of something I just lose plenty of games. So everyone who wanna just improve needs to love the game I guess!
I think that up to 1500 most important is hint from Grischuk: "Do not blunder". Most people at my rating, including me, loses by silly piece lose or endgame standards. I mean blitz and rapid.

Yeah, got better a little bit. Still doing mistakes (mostly not blunders but mistakes) but even mistakes are critical as well. So this is the answer. Just get better at tactics, analysing or endgames and thats it. Thans for your comment and have fun with the game
I honestly can’t pin point what exactly it is that is different for me at 1700 vs when I was 1500. But “dubious” moves stand out more now than they did before. I have a better eye for threats and tactics.
My endgame hasn’t changed as I haven’t studied it since 1500, but I feel like I play with more of a purpose with my moves. Continue to work on tactics, it helps the most under 2000.

I've read in multiple books that a large % of games below the high (master?) level are won or lost based on tactics. The resulting advice was to study tactics. Not to the exclusion of other parts of the game, but certainly to spend a meaningful amount of time on tactics.
well a very high percentage of GM games are also lost or won based on tactics. If your opponent doesn't make a blunder or some mistake u can't win. For every victory for player A, player B needs to "miss" some move so that player A can capitalize. You can argue that every game is won due to some missed moves or tactics
Hello chess friends. I would like to ask what is the difference between a 1300 chess player and 1400 or 1500. I got from 1000-1300 just by doing Tactics and watching lessons here. But is there something else? Should I start consider something else than Tactics and lessons?
I think literally just everything. Repertoire, Endgame, Middlegame
Tactics help me get to 1500. Before reaching 1500 i was remembering tactics name and tried to spot them in chess. But i was going nowhere. I just feel lucky that because of love from some of the member on indirect topic directly help me in understanding what i was lacking. If it was not for them i would have never reach what i know today. I can explain chess wise but i has make a blog for that. Another thing help me is to use custom puzzle concentrating exclusively on single puzzle. Better try to solve by using least amount of calculation. One thing don't solve when you get tired
