High School Practices
Would you be interested in joining the Student Led Chess Association? We help to bring chess clubs together for tournaments, scrimmages if you wish, and other charity tournaments. Depending where you are we may already have a league in your area, or will establish one in the future. This can be a great way for you to coordinate with other schools and organize such tournaments and expansion. This can be a great way for them to improve their strength. Giving them the chance to talk to other schools and learn new tactics. Plus, the new environment helps to stress what students can improve on or what they miss. There are always good ways to help improve the club's skill, and our free competitions can be a great way to do it.
Please let me know if you want our help. You can reach out to me at at [email protected] or on this post if you wish.
Our practices usually consist of starting with tactics, then opening theory, and finally scrimmages.
I would say my players play strength is around 1000-1200. We are in a small rural area and the school doesn’t support of too much. We pay for everything ourselves. That said the chances of bringing in a master level player are slim.
They already play a lot outside of practices and I often see them walking down the hallway on their computers playing between classes.
What I’m looking for is any recommendations on how to improve my team strength. Thank you in advance.
