The Barnes Opening: Chess Opening Theory states that f3 is rarely played among serious chess players. This move is usually a way for White to taunt Black, especially if White's rating is much higher. It is a passive first move that gives Black a small advantage. Most people say it is arguably White's worst possible first move. It blocks the knight from f3, as well as exposes the white king.
There is of course f4. The Birds opening, my friends play this quite a lot. This opening is aggressive and less common. weakens the diagonal, as well as the kingside. Although, helps control the center, & is good as well as common for players who donβt want to study openings
