White (Boris Gulko), the only GM to have won both the US and Soviet Championships and ranked 300 points higher than Black (Nico Vink, who was also on a 5-game losing streak), has the Black bishop trapped and looks set for a comfortable win.

Stop him!

You would think a GM could spot it when he is one move from a mate. However, 2. g4 would be met by 2. ... Qf2#. Did he resign?
