Puzzle #1: Series-helpmate in 3 moves, Black to play

«Series-helpmate in ζ moves, X to play» = The side of color X makes ζ moves, then its opponent makes one move and checkmates X. Both sides work towards the goal of checkmating X.

Rocky64

The first one is pretty nice. The second one seems cooked, as it can be solved in 1 move, not 3. The queen on h8 just needs to unguard f6 to allow Nf6 mate, and similarly Qf2 allows Nxf2 mate.

Thank you for your feedback on my first puzzles! You are right, the 2nd one was cooked. Thank you for pointing that out.

Fun puzzle, and not too hard.

The new 2nd puzzle is unsound, unfortunately. Here's a short solution: 1.Nf3 2.Ke2 3.Kd3 4.Nd4 5.Nc2, allowing Rb3 mate.
