rook + bishop vs rook

I recently played a game having rook + bishop against rook end game. For the first time it went to the 50 move rule. Is a draw typical in such endgames?

I think it's a draw, R+B vs. R, typically.

The odds of winning aren't too high if you have a decent opponent. The problem with the bishop is it's one-side domination. As long as your opponent keeps their king and rook off the bishop's color, the bishop is practically useless.

there was a 250ish move game with rook and bishop vs rook. that's a draw because the lone bishop can't mate, and so, ironicly, the winning side doesn't want to exchange rooks, but the losing side does.

You can check an online tablebase to see if a specific KBR + KR position is a win or a draw. Normally they are draws, but sometimes they are wins, especially if the defending king is stuck close to one side of the board.
