First try. It took me about 4 seconds. Very unusual for me, but I saw it right away
Puzzle from Laszlo Polgar (Mate in two moves)
@CorrieG, no way these folks are doing it in 2-5 s
No, really. I'm not lying. You're just going to have to accept that some puzzles you can see right away, while others not at all
2min. to sort out pieces,2min. for working protected squares.....and man i'm starved and it' movie time (the Snitch). Puzzle ? Promise to figure out Queen or rook sac. after--always 1 of them.

Because you say so right? :P
Mate in X puzzles are usually faster or easier to solve because you already have the target identified going into the puzzle (king) and how long it can take you (X moves). Usually mate in X puzzles have a forced sequence, so checks are usually the first move. This speeds up the solving process very quickly, especially this puzzle when there are a few pieces close together and for white only two pieces (exclude the pawn) can make the first move. It quickly becomes apparent which one that is, and there are only two forcing moves, or checks, so you simply do a quick calculation and bingo, got the puzzled solved.
well i stopped looking after 2 minutes. still for most its probably easy, but 2 seconds i hardly imagine that is true.
I hope you can solve in your mind before making a move. Also be host and comment how long it took you to solve.
