Black moves first! is that a Brazilian convention? Undecided Tongue out

This puzzle made me think. Not so much about the puzzle itself but if the starting position is possible.

I came to the conclusion that you can't move a knight away from its position and back again in a odd number of moves so it doesn't work that way. You could let the knights switch places but the only way a knight can get from the queen side to the king side knight position (or the other way around of course) is in a odd number of moves and since both knights needs to do this you get a even total of moves (two odd numbers added up will always be even) so it's impossible to get this starting position. Of course moving the rooks doesn't help since you would need to move them back again and since they only got two squares to move on the starting position will be reached in a even number of moves.

These puzzles are terrible and totally pointless.  I guess I will just give up chess if this is accurate play from both sides.Laughing

does this guy even know how to play chess, or know what it is?

I think you are posting your own games, or how you remember them, as puzzles.

Or more probably you get your kicks hearing our comments about how we don't understand how your puzzles work. And how they don't make any sense

Both ways, I think you should stop posting

I am confused as to how Black managed to move first.  I have yet to find a solution in which Black was able to move first in this position, even with moves before this position.
kolechess

that was certainly an irritating waste of time.
