Why is it I get hammered losing 15 points on one wrong move when I only get 5 points after three right moves? I can go 2 and 1 for a day and still lose points. I’m on a slow but steady downward spiral after touching 1300. Hardly seems fair.

How many points you get is partially based on the time taken to solve versus the average solve time. You'll get a minimum of 5 points if you take significantly longer.

Thanks I did see the clock running but wasn’t aware of a time penalty. Still new to this website and it’s humbling seeing how good everyone is getting with practice.
