In fact, at the time I knew James Plaskett too. I could tell some stories......

Interesting how engines cant see Bc2+, but as soon as its played they re-evaluate the position as winning.
Took me 30 minutes to solve with 2 retries Got the first 4 moves in my mind right after I saw the puzzle the only thing which Was hard to get was the pawn promotion only to get forked but I did that too after a a retry and then just moving the bishop around for the checkmate that was kinda easy I believe it was definitely hard for players that time to solve this puzzle No wonder it took weeks for some
