LOL tonydal - way to rain on a chess parade! Haha.
Probably most moves are mate in 8 (or less).
According to my engine, there is a solution (not Rg5+, but the bizarre Rg6) that is mate in 5, and there are also some solutions (including the obvious Re1+) that are mate in 6.
But the topic creator isn't likely to say anything, given that he left chess.com 16 years ago.
