Bewildering sequence

Reviewing a game with the engine, I just discovered a bewildering tacital sequence.  Defnitely not something I was going to calculate correctly.

Wow. I worked my way through it but it still doesn't make sense to me.

I think what's even more wild is that the final position here isn't even all that clear. But if you keep following the plan of the engine you realize it's impossible to stop black from stacking rooks on the c-file, winning either the d or g-pawn, and creating unstoppable passed pawns. This line is freakin' bonkers. Nice find

I know! All that for just a point of material, and an imbalance that isn’t obviously more appealing to play. Yes, I’d take black in that final position but I wouldn’t feel a whole lot of confidence in winning from there.
